David M. OrTÍZ, Tenor

David holds a B.A. in Music Education and a Single Subject Teaching Credential in Music  from CSU Bakersfield and a M.M. in Choral Conducting from CSU Los Angeles. He currently works as the Director of Vocal Music at Foothill High School where he conducts five choirs. His ensembles perform in an annual Jazz Coffeehouse every March. He is currently singing in the Bakersfield Master Chorale in the Young Artist Development Program where he performs as a paid chorister and soloist. 

When he’s not teaching or singing, you can find David having adventures with his wife, Jennifer and spending time with his family.
